This week in ‘Making Captain Wayne’ we take a closer look at Wayne’s arrival on Ornasion.
How one comes up with the name ‘ornasion’ I’m not quite sure but I was looking for something that had it’s own identity and didn’t originate from anywhere. Not that many people would but if you Google Ornasion, you be surprised to see that every single result points to either here or my portfolio. So what is Ornasion?
Ornasion is a planet situated in the same system as TS-5B. It has been registered as a protected eco-system for a number of years. Wayne’s past is linked to this planet in more ways than one but that is a whole other story altogether!
The planet is very similar to Earth in many ways with one major difference: sentient intelligent life forms have been banned from it for decades in an effort to protect it’s environment, fauna, flora and overall balance providing a haven for any carbon based life form. In this weeks gallery, I present you a glimpse at the various stages of rendering the planet in a way that would fit the general look of ‘Cpt Wayne & the Unexplained Dimension’. I had literally never ventured in depicting planets before I started working on this graphic novel, so it’s all a bit a steep learning curve.
