Yes, indeed. A French version. That’s what I’ve been working on this week. Or rather on migrating my WordPress setup to facilitate a second blog that will be displaying the French version of Cpt Wayne.
Needless to say that I screwed a couple of things up in the process and that I spent a lot of time trying to fix it. I only have one piece of advice if you ever experience that kind of thing: sleep on it. This morning I just realised where it had gone horribly wrong the day before and I went downstairs to my computer and a few clicks later, everything was back to normal.
So what’s next? Well, now that I know what to do, I just need to do it right and we’ll be in business hopefully pretty quickly. Not to worry, the Thursday updates will just carry on as planned with no delay.
So what’s in this week’s episode of ‘Making Cpt Wayne’? Well, you see those two little flags at the top left, that’s what’s in it. Why a french version as well? Cpt Wayne is entirely concieved in English but French being my mother tongue, I wanted to satisfy a whole bunch of people I know who have been anxiously waiting for this. And having grown up reading mostly French and Belgian comics, it just makes it something I have to do.
